Privacy Policy

1. What stays on your device

Documents you import, your reading progress, saved words, summaries and chat history are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to us or to any cloud storage. Deleting the app deletes this data.

2. What is sent, and only when you use an AI feature

Summaries, the document overview and the Q&A assistant use a language model. When you use them, the app sends the minimum needed for that request:

• the excerpt currently being summarized, or
• your question together with a few excerpts you have already completed, or
• the summaries you have already saved.

Full documents are never sent. Excerpt text is processed to generate your answer and is not used to train models.

3. On-device translation

Excerpt translation runs entirely on your device, which is why it also works offline. Translated text is not transmitted.

4. No accounts, no identifiers

Pro Reading does not require an account and does not ask for personal information. The app holds a random device identifier used only to manage your free trial and purchases, and to prevent abuse of the service.

5. Payments

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Google Play (and by the App Store on iOS). We receive a purchase confirmation from the store; we never see or store your card details.

6. This website

This website is static. It does not set cookies and does not include analytics or advertising trackers.

7. Children

Pro Reading is intended for university-level users and is not directed at children under 13.

8. Your rights

Because your reading data lives on your device, you control it completely: delete the app and the data is gone. To contact us about privacy, email hello@atlantic-sq.com.

9. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the update will be posted on this page with a new date.
